Nota Bene Players & Singers (NBPS) is proud to announce another season of historically informed performance.

Our season kicks off with 3 exceptional  instrumentalists (Alison Melville, recorders and flute; Kerri McGonigle, cello; Christopher Bagan, harpsichord) playing works by J.S. Bach and his sons. Nota Bene “Family Has Your Bach” will charm you and highlight one of the most impressive family dynasties in all of music.

“Solo Bach”, our midwinter January offering, features 4 cantatas for solo voice. Soprano Sinėad White, Countertenor Daniel Taylor, tenor Shane Hanson, bass-baritone Daniel Lichti and an orchestra of baroque instruments promise a close look at J.S. Bach’s affinity for the human voice.

Our Palm Sunday weekend puts the spotlight on Handel’s “Messiah”, that timeless masterpiece which we will perform during the Easter season, just as the composer intended. This concert will mark my 10th anniversary with NBPS. Thrill to the clarity and precision of a small professional ensemble, similar to what Handel had at his disposal when the work was first performed in 1742.

A feast of 18th century musical delights awaits. Please join us and bring a friend.
